Eva Timber is pleased to offer Thermowood® Pine and Spruce, PEFC certified.

Available for forward order in direct trailers delivered from the mill to your door, or pick-a-pack from our UK stockholding for those just in time requirements or length specific enquires.

Please contact our sales desk with your requirements.

Our Thermowood is produced from Northern grown Swedish Pine and Spruce, using only the centre cut part of the log yielding a live knotted structure.

The kilning process has been perfected since production started back in 2007 and is independently audited by the International Thermowood Association ensuring quality and consistency.

The features and benefits of Thermowood® are widely accepted in the UK market and this product offers a cost-effective alternative to more expensive species.

Durable – Durability class 2 (BS EN 350) suited to Use Class 3 applications (BS EN 335), for use externally above ground. Thermowood is modified throughout its entire thickness and width, offering advantages over some chemical “envelope” style preservative treatments.

Stable – Thermowood® is more stable than un-modified woods. This makes it ideal for cladding profiles as shrinkage and expansion is minimal. The inherent stability also provides an excellent substrate for painting and prolongs the service intervals normally expected with a painted timber product.

Colour – The thermal modification changes the natural pine colour to an appealing coffee brown, similar to some hardwoods. The colour is consistent throughout the product creating an attractive appearance even when machined to the most complex profile.

Eco Friendly – The benefits of carbon capture when using replanted PEFC Nordic forest are well known. Using a chemical free process to enhance the characteristics of Pine and Spruce makes Thermowood® a truly environmentally positive choice.
