Fraké is a Thermally modified hardwood, derived from the Limba tree, a native species in Central and West Africa.
As with Eva Timber’s other thermo timber species the base material is carefully modified in a highly controlled specialist kiln, where temperatures exceed 200 degrees centigrade, whilst holding the wood under consistent pressure
The resulting Fraké is durable (class 1), stable and colour consistent throughout its thickness.
Darker than Thermo Ayous the Fraké has a rich texture and Walnut like colour.
Ideally suited for external cladding and decking.
As with our other products we start with the highest possible commercial grade of timber, and all boards are graded after modification to ensure our clients receive only the best Fraké available.
Our final grade is 4 sides clear.
Note
A naturally occurring feature of Fraké is the occasional pinhole which is a characteristic of this product and does not affect the integrity of the wood or the suitability for cladding or decking.

Remember Fraké can be mixed on the same loads as Thermo Ayous and Thermo Radiata Pine.
