The BS5534 Batten, in blue, Treated UC2 is commonly used as a hard-wearing roofing batten in construction projects making them ideal for use when fixing tiles, slates, and sheets to a roof. It is identifiable through its highly visible blue colouring and is easily distinguishable against other types of batten.
These battens have been pressure treated to Use Class 2 (UC2) standard ensuring its protection against rot and insect attacks. This method is used to prolong their lifespan and offer longevity.
