Published performance values are based on the use of 3.75 x 30mm square twist nails throughout, while a wider strap offers increased surface area on the supporting timber and allows for enhanced nail spacing. A stamped strap also includes minimum and maximum nailing schedules, giving correct installation information to site operatives. The speed-prong feature securely holds the hanger in place, making attachment easier for installers who no longer have to juggle holding the hanger, joist, and nail. The JHA270 range also includes a location tab for easier alignment, and the model number and size are stamped into the seat of the hanger for easy identification, even after installation.
